Application Eligibility

Overseas compatriot students who have lived overseas continually since birth or have lived overseas continually for the last 6 years or more and have obtained permanent residency or long-term residence certificate.

Meet the requirements of the " Standards for Recognition of Equivalent Educational Levels for University Admission " and have graduated from a local senior secondary school or above or have equivalent academic qualifications.

Applicants may fulfill one of the following four criteria to be eligible for application (not applicable to those taking Subject Test Questionnaire for Myanmar and Northern Thailand):
1. Have TOCFL A2 or above.
2. Graduation certificate or academic transcript showing at least two semesters of passing Mandarin language grades from one of the following institutions: Chinese primary schools, independent high schools, or national/national type secondary schools (SMK/SMJK) in Malaysia.
3. Pass the written test (A1 level or above) administered by Taiwan overseas government agencies or the recommending units designated by the OCAC and holding proof of at least 240 hours of Mandarin study.
4. Have TOCFL A1 and hold proof of at least 240 hours of Mandarin study. The recognized study hours are as stated above.

**Note: Those who choose either (1) passing the written test (A1 level or above) administered by Taiwan overseas government agencies or the recommending units designated by the OCAC and holding proof of at least 240 hours of Mandarin study; or (2) having TOCFL A1 and holding proof of at least 240 hours of Mandarin study, must pass TOCFL A2 or above before the end of the second semester of the first academic year (i.e., before August 15 of the following year after enrollment). Those who fail to meet this requirement shall be dismissed by the school, and all expenses shall be borne by the students.
